Why did you choose to train with Airways Aviation?

Airways felt like a personal, friendly and welcoming organisation from day one. I was impressed by the facilities in Oxford and felt it was the best place I could succeed in continuing my pilot training. As a PPL holder, I was used to training in a personal environment where I had more time with my instructors and flew regularly.

I chose Airways because they provide a similarly intimate training approach, as well as a better priced pathway to get the hours and exams I require.

What do you enjoy most about being a student at Airways Aviation?

I love the support we get from our instructors. It genuinely feels different. The teaching style is very proactive and engaging. Our instructors spend a lot of additional time in supporting us as individuals meaning you feel like a name, not a number.

What did you do before you started training?

I studied Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire, after which I obtained my Private Pilot’s Licence at Northwestern Michigan College, USA.

What advice would you give to anyone considering training as a pilot?

Be sure to do your research before deciding to be a pilot. Once you’ve made that decision, work hard and be consistent with your efforts.

Patience will be your best friend in ground school, and the hard work will worth it when you’re stepping into the first day of your new career.
