Airways Aviation launches degree programme with Southern Cross University, Australia

Bachelor of Business (Aviation Management) and Commercial Pilot Licence commences in July 2016

Gold Coast, June 2nd, 2016: Airways Aviation is launching a CASA Commercial Pilot Licence with a Bachelor’s degree in Business, in collaboration with Southern Cross University (SCU), Australia, in a push to expand its high-quality education to future pilots.

The programme offers students a Bachelor of Business majoring in Aviation Management from SCU, alongside the CASA certified Airways Aviation Certificate IV in Aviation (Aeroplane) and Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Flight Operations).
At SCU students will learn critical reasoning, communication and the professional skills needed to succeed in any business environment, with specialised skills in aviation management. With Airways Aviation, students will have the chance to achieve three pilot licence types as their skill level increases; from a Recreational Pilot Licence, through to a Private Pilot Licence, and finally a Commercial Pilot Licence. The Diploma of Aviation offers advanced flight training conducted on a multi-engine class aircraft.

Students on the programme will have access to world-class facilities including a Boeing 737 simulator at Airways Aviation’s Gold Coast training base, as well as instruction from the country’s finest trainers and lecturers.

Alongside its Australian base on the Gold Coast, Airways Aviation has a strong portfolio of pilot training academies across the globe, including EASA-certified schools in Spain and at its new global HQ at London Oxford Airport, UK. The Australian flight school is both CASA and EASA-certified. Airways Aviation boasts a worldwide network of foundation schools in locations including China and Japan, where cadets can complete ground-based training before commencing flight training at one of the training academies. Plans are in place to bring another 30 foundation schools online within the next 18 months.
