Airways Aviation Lebanon delivers the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) & ICAO approved Private Pilot License training for aspiring pilots who want to fly airplanes for pleasure. Our PPL is also suitable for people looking to begin pilot training with the basics and work toward their Commercial Pilot License or Airline Transport Pilot License.

You will be qualified to fly an airplane alone or with passengers for private use upon the completion of the course. You will also have gained the skills and experience to commence further flight training with confidence.

Course Structure:

Our PPL consists of two distinct components – flight training and theory training. These are taught concurrently so you will master the practical while engaged in the theoretical.

Training Aircraft:

·        Diamond DA40

·        Cessna 152 & 172

·        Tecnam P2010

After the successful completion of the Private Pilot License, the cadet will be able to start building his/her hours under his/her own license. The cadet has to fly 105 solo hours and 5dual hours to complete this formality.

After the completion of the hours, the cadet can proceed with his/her training as scheduled.

 

What You Will Learn

Theory Training:

PPL theory training is divided into 9 subjects:

  • Air Law
  • Aircraft General Knowledge
  • Flight Performance and Planning
  • Human Performance
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation
  • Operational Procedures
  • Principles of Flight
  • Communications

 Flight Training:

You will complete a minimum of 42 hours flying which includes at least:

  • 25 hours of dual flight time
  • 15 hours of cross solo flight time
  • 2 hours PPL skills test

Requirements: 

·        Be at least 18 years old

·        Passed his/her foundation course and compass test

·        Medically fit

·        Have a high school diploma or equivalent

·        Be able to demonstrate English language proficiency

·        Have a passion for flying
