Why did you choose to train with Airways Aviation?

I chose to join AA considering a number of reasons. After doing extensive research on the academies across the globe I figured Airways had the best course setups and I personally loved the locations. I spoke to Rizwan regarding my admission and he answered all the questions I had in my mind to find the perfect institute for me.
Since AAA has always been transparent about all the procedures to be followed, I found it safe and reassuring to finally commit to the academy.

What do you enjoy most about being a student at Airways Aviation?

Well, I’ve been a student in the foundation course, which was my first step, that helped me realise that being a pilot is truly my passion. And then I moved towards ATPL Integrated in Oxford, which was too harsh on my palate. In that moment I felt like maybe it was the wrong decision. But Rizwan really helped me and guided me to the Modular option in Montenegro, where I truly excelled and realised that once you recognise your passion you need to be persistent and persevering. So what I enjoyed most is being able to redefine my dreams and grow exponentially. Ofcourse the flying was definitely the most fun part, but I think the growth and development is what will truly help me succeed in life.

What did you do before you started training?

I had just graduated from High school in Pune before I started my training. I was made aware of the foundation course in Dubai and my journey with Airways began with it.
Before starting with my training I was into sports and preferred that over studying. I played various sports, naming a few- basketball, football, badminton, and even played a cricket tournament at the age of 16.
Apart from this I always dreamt of being a pilot and now I’m on my journey of becoming one commercially.

What advice would you give to anyone considering training as a pilot?

Although going to an academy in a completely new country and doing everything by myself has proven to be a lot of work, I love being a student. The challenges I face and the people I meet luckily always help me deal with situations at every step and have so far helped me become a better person while preparing me for the world outside of the Academy as well. I am learning to enjoy every step of my journey, from late nights to early mornings. Learning to feel comfortable outside of my comfort zone is my biggest learning from what the academy and the instructors have taught me.
Everything that takes you outside of your comfort zone is a space where you are learning not only about yourself but also who you want to be in the future.

Yash Pandey started off with Airways Aviation Foundation Course in our old Dubai branch, and then continued his journey at our branches in Oxford and Montenegro. He completed his modular PPL and SHB in Montenegro and looks forward to doing his CPL in Australia.
The unique thing about his journey is that he got to experience most of all our locations.
